A little bit of everything

Today's train ride to work wasn't as bad as yesterday's. Hallelujah! I still didn't get a seat, but today the floor seemed higher and I could actually hold onto the upper railing attached to the ceiling. Word around the grapevine was that more people were traveling today as they decided to go to work instead of working from home, as opposed to yesterday when people panicked and stayed home. Thank God tomorrow is Friday! No train drama for a few days will put me in a good mood!

Access Hollywood has this little clip of RPattz auditioning for his indie film, "How To Be." In the film, Robert plays this meekly guy who everyone sees as a complete loser (even his parents thinks he sucks.) Then, I think he comes into a small fortune and hires a life coach or something. The premise seems funny, and it's supposed to be a comedy. Anyway, in the audition clip, his character has a bloody nose. So there sits RPattz, with tissue wads stuck up his nose. I was nearly falling off my chair laughing. The moviemakers also made RPattz ugly as possible. You can still see some hints of his Edward Cullen character when he scrunches up his face to think. I think it's endearing :)

The studio that made the indie film is releasing the DVD 3 days before New Moon comes out. Riding on New Moon's coat-tails. Good job, people!

Tomorrow, I'm wearing a semi-costume at work. Technically, it's not Halloween yet, but still. I like all holidays, there should be more of them during the year! I asked around and I guess not that many people dress up at the office for Halloween. It is a very business-like environment. I don't see clients or anything, and I don't plan on wearing the costume to our 9:00 a.m staff meeting, but I figured, why not have a little fun?

I almost feel partially oppressed - like everyone has to be all normal there. You can still get your work done, be respected, and enjoy working there (hence the costume thing). I am just a little bit weird, and I am not ashamed to say so. Hahaha!

My little cousin turned 3 a few months ago. She is speaking in practically full sentences. I ask her questions and she answers me like an adult would. It's truly fascinating. I asked her where the glow stick I bought for her last week went off to. She replied "oh, there's no more batteries." Pretty good for a 3 year old!

My other little cousin who is 1 and a few months of age, can dance like crazy. He dances better than a lot of people I know. Maybe he'll become some kind of entertainer when he grows up. Who knows?

I find it frustrating when I get coupons for stores, then when I get to the store, there is nothing that I like or want to buy. Why does this happen? Who the ef goes to the store and buys out all the good stuff? Maybe I need to camp out at those places overnight. Like on "Black Friday".

I think companies should have Karaoke jam sessions. What better way to emote your daily grievances than through a round of Queen or Kevin Rudolf?

Did I say I'm glad tomorrow's Friday?

Ahh, sweet victory.

For Rachel: "Well Dun. Carreh Ohn." :-)

Testing the waters...

I am testing out this blog site because I can't possibly sum up my thoughts on Twitter, and I am pretty sure 98.3% of my friends/acquaintances/stalkers on Facebook would kill me if I rambled on & on about my daily happenings...so here goes nothing:

The dinner I prepared 30 minutes ago is now cold. That's what I get for going on FB "for five minutes." Gotta run!

This is me after realizing I've forgotten to eat dinner:

EDIT: Today, due to the Bay Bridge closure, the number of commuters taking public transportation seemingly multiplied by 7 trillion. Somehow, they all ended up on the same BART train as yours truly. I love when the doors are three-fourths of the way closed and some moron decides to run through the doors to catch the almost moving train. Obviously, they are not afraid of losing any limbs. I understand that people are in a hurry when they are running late, but there comes a point where your appendages are more important than squeezing your ass-crack onto the train. Geez.

Another pet peeve of mine: people who whip out their books on BART when there is no space to even twitch an eyelid. Some lady decided to read her book when there was literally a few centimeters between us (all the passengers were standing very close together, almost like a football team in a huddle), and proceeded to elbow me in the ribs. Thanks, lady. You really made my day.

Here is a little section dedicated to my vice of the year, which people might know as "Twilight madness." I've been thinking about how about a year ago, everyone was clueless about the very swoonworthy Robert Pattinson - unless they were die-hard Harry Potter fans. Nowadays, the poor guy can't go outside without being trailed by paparazzi and screaming fan-girls. He knew what he was getting into when he signed up for the movies, but why is it that moms, daughters, and gasp, grandmas, are falling over themselves (me included!) over this guy?

Here are my thoughts:

1. He's British. The accent alone gives him 10 bonus points. I don't see anyone swooning over people from Missouri. (No offense, Missourians)
2. Edward Cullen's character was so cleverly written, everyone projects their feelings of awe and adoration onto him. He's immortal, and he will love you forever. (With this said, he has the upper-hand over, oh, the majority of the male population.)
3. He laughs at himself any chance he gets. I love humble people!
4. That face. He was a model before he became an actor. Can you really picture Jackson Rathbone as Edward Cullen? I think not. (JR ended up as Jasper, so no worries.)

RPattz:

Jackson: (okay, maybe I can imagine him as Edward. But he just looks too cool. Edward needs to look pained...and deadly. Robert has that combo. In a good way.

Now something entirely off-topic. If you know me, then you probably know that I am engaged to a wonderful guy, Yeng :) (Hi, Yeng!) A lot of people say that weddings are fun to plan. They are fun to plan when you're spending someone else's money! (Paging J.Lo, where are you when I need you?)Who are they kidding? Weddings are frickin' expensive. I just want to know.. do banks give out money for wedding loans? Because that would be EXCELLENT! Imagine going to a bank and saying "Hello, i'd like to apply for a caterer loan and I also need one for the Vera Wang dress I need to buy." BTW, I'm probably going to be writing about wedding planning for the next 7 months...
